New Milestone, New Momentum

This #WorldOceansWeek, we’re proud to launch a new hero film capturing a momentous event in the Mars coral reef restoration program & beyond — HOPE Reef being observed to spawn for the very first time.

This extraordinary event marks a powerful step forward for the global restoration mission and signals that restored reefs can not only survive — but can create an ecological ripple effect — a crucial indicator of coral reef recovery and long-term resilience.

We're also excited to take this moment to spotlight the contribution of Dr. Jamie Craggs, coral reproductive expert and co-founder of Coral Spawning Lab, to our scientific team. Together, we’re incorporating coral sexual reproduction and larval reseeding into our MARRS restoration toolbox — deepening our ability to increase reef resilience across the globe.

This is science, hope, and community in action.

Shoutout to @oceanculturelife and @jacksearsonfilms for the incredible edit!!
